The past.
The unforgettable moments in our lives that we are forced to dwindle and dwell until we are on the very brink of insanity. No one realizes just how grueling it is to have unbearable weight of the whole world compressing your shoulders. And all because you made one mistake , and now consequences are far from dire. Not only are you paying for that oversight ten fold, but the many others whom are now caught in the crossfire.. You sauntered down and muted and uncharted territory of your homeland in defeating silence. The rhythmic stepping of your own feet crushing the spiky snow below was the only sound that greeted your icy numb ears. The full moons lunar light illuminated the abandon slush covered pathway as crisp midnight winter air mildly kissed your exposed skin. The immense pine trees looming over you intimidatingly so, but you have to continue to endure and march on towards your intended destination. An ominous feeling gripped your stomach, causing it to churn and spiral as you venture farther in the obscure forest. You tried shaking the negative emotion off, but it secured. Abruptly, however, all pessimistic thoughts rushed back when you heard the discouraging noise of a tree branch snapping behind you. " Snap! " You revolved at break neck speed, your dominant hand flying to your holster where an old colleague of yours customized weapon remains.

Nevertheless, just as you turned your back the unmistakable sound of a bush rustled directly behind you tingled your hearing. Mindfully, you stood painstakingly still, knowing that any sudden movements could cost you, your life.

Your fingers lightly brushing over the handle of your weapon; you gulped audibly, slowly and cautiously you began to face towards the displeasing noise. Your breath came out in heavy puffs of white, the atmosphere seemed charged with a menacing chill that crawled up your back unpleasantly. You reduced your heart rate as best as you could, lessening your breath as your long hues descended upon

four hooded figured about five foot away from your person. Their scarlet red cloaks bared a strikingly similar symbol, one in which you were searching for. The eye shaped logo imprinted on their hoods with an X going through the middle section of the eyeball. The wind blew briskly as you waited attentively for one of the mysterious people to step forward and finally make the first move.
