Vicki's favorite childhood memory was when her Mom, Dad, and Sister all drove to California and went to Disneyland. Family events like this were very important and special back then.

She got her first car when she was 16 which was handed down from her sister Nancy. It was a 1956 Thunderbird which was a convertible also. The front bench seat could fit 3 people so friends always wanted to ride with her.

Vicki's first job was at the Elks Country Club. She worked there as a lifeguard and enjoyed it a lot because it gave her a nice tan. She also had friends that worked with her making the job more exciting.

Vicki started playing racket ball when she was about 23. She turned out to be very good at it and won first place at a state tournament and got a big trophy. During her high school days they did not have organized women sports, so she did not play during that time.

Vicki said that in this time of her life she does not feel her age. She said she feels about 55 and not 68. She is super healthy and active with her life. Vicki is now retired and does a lot of volunteering at the Salina Animal Shelter and at the Salina Regional Hospital.
