Mrs. Gugler was born in Indianola, Iowa, population 8,000. Small town values were instilled in her and she was never afraid to play outside. She was also raised to have a great work ethic.

2
She loves to garden; mainly vegetables, she loves to quilt and loves to cook/bake.

Mrs. Gugler has been married to Doug Gugler for 35 years. Her children are grown but all live within driving distance and love to come back home to visit.

4
When Mrs. Gugler graduated women either became secondary nurses or teachers. She chose to be a teacher. She always loved to read so being a library instructor was a perfect fit.

5

6
Her favorite type of books are realistic fiction and mystery/detective novels.

7
Her favorite part about teaching is getting to know her students.

8
Her biggest regret is not traveling more and not having learned music while her proudest moment is her marriage.

9
John F. Kennedy was assassinated while Mrs. Gugler was in her eighth grade social studies class. She was told there and later went to the other school building to share the news.

10
Growing up there were only three television stations; ABC, NBC, and CBS.

13
Mrs. Gugler thinks Osama bin Laden really was killed.

14
She heard a lot about WWII growing up because her dad was in the Battle of the Bulge. He was very proud to serve and he was highly respected for his service. Her uncle took part in the war as well, but he did not like to talk about his encounters.

15
Mrs. Gugler never jumped on the Elvis bandwagon but she was a fan of the Beatles.

16
Her favorite subject was of course English class, but she also loved her french class. She does not remember a lot of French but she does remember she used to dream in French.

17
Eisenhower is her favorite president because she got to study him in school and go to his museum.

18
The question of whether or not Marilyn Monroe purposefully killed herself or if the overdose was an accident she does not know.

19
Her advice to teens on marriage is to find somebody who you're friends with first and you feel comfortable sitting in silence with. About a month into her relationship she called up her friend and asked her to be maid of honor because she just knew Doug was the one. She only dated Doug for a month and one day before he asked her to marry him.
