When asked what his biggest regret would be, he said, "to be a better person, and father." He worked all the time when his children were young but, " I can't do it over so what the heck?"

He found out about 9/11 when he was in the library at Central High. The news was on the TV and his first thought was "that's a joke." He couldn't believe it.

Mr. Crank had only been teaching for about 3 years when he found out about the Kennedy assassination. He was in the auditorium at Lincoln Junior High. When he told a little girl named Suki Fitzgerald about the news, she started crying.

Bad habits of the past
He used to smoke cigarettes, had a short temper, and gambled too much.

Lack of patience with family.

He told me that the most difficult thing about growing older is having enough money.

His advice for teens would be to put down the Iphones, throw them away, & learn to think. "Get rid of those damn things"

When asked if he has ever met a famous person, he answered, "All my mentors are famous to me." He also mentioned all the stars-to-be in the theatre department. Along with Dwight D. Eisenhower, Elvis Presley, and Richard Nixon.

If Crank could go back to any age, it would be 4 years old. Its all fine when you're that young. No broken hearts, no job, good parents, no worries.

Mr. Crank hopes to be remembered as a great teacher who influenced thousands of kids. He wants to know that he made a difference in people's lives. (We love you, Crank!)
