As Cassie rushed to the closet, the bell rang and she got her book bag on. The last day of school was over for Cassie Marck. Cassie Marck is an 10 year old girl that would be going into 5th grade next fall. Cassie jumped on the bus to get to seat nineteen. "Hey Cassie," said her older brother Colin.

Colin Marck is a 12 year old boy going into 6th grade. "I'm not going to see you in school anymore," exclaimed Colin.

"I know Bub," gasped Cassie.

She was very nervous to go to school without her big brother there to help her. ""So how do you do 5th grade again? asked Cassie.

"I have no clue," he chuckled.

"Yeah you do," said Cassie in a mad voice.

As Cassie and Colin got off the bus, they saw that their cat wasn't sitting on the porch where it always is. "Colin is Stella missing? Cause...cause...cause I CAN'T SEE HER!" Cassie yelled.

Meanwhile Colin suggested that mom might have put Stella inside. Cassie went to check. "Stella isn't in here." Cassie cried.

"Well then where is she? Colin thought.

A little while later, Colin remembered he had put a tracking device on Stella's collar. Colin got on his computer to find out that Stella was at the fairgrounds.

"I found Stella! Stella! Stella, I found her!" He ran over to Cassie. "Look on my computer she is right there!" Colin yelled.

"Great!" said Cassie with excitement.

They decided to sneak out after dinner to go find Stella. They didn't realize that their mom was listening to their little sneak out plan.

After dinner, they left. They got their coats on and quietly tip-toed out the door. When the got there, the first place they looked was at the popcorn stand. Stella loves popcorn! So does Cassie!

"Can we get some popcorn Bub?" asked Cassie.

"No!"screamed Colin.

"Sorry," muttered Cassie.

The next place they looked was the big dragon roller coaster. It zoomed passed them super fast.

They walked and walked. "Where are we?" Cassie asked.

"On the other side of the park", Colin yelled.

"You mean fair." Cassie whispered rolling her eyes.

Colin was getting frustrated that they hadn't found Stella yet.

Cassie looked at her watch. It was six o'clock.

"Bub, it's six o'clock, we've got to be quick."

All of a sudden, Colin got a big whiff of something stinky. Colin sniffed. Smells like we are near the farm animals he thought.

"Hey, it's Gracy and she doesn't stink at all!" Cassie barked.

"Howdee, y'all. What you up to Cassie?" Gracy chatted.

"Who's that there boy? He sure does look mighty weird," Gracy exclaimed pointing towards Colin.

"Gracy you sound different." Cassie noticed.

"I know, when I went to Texas over the school year, I reckon I got used to the way that they talked there. So I ended up sounding like the them, so yeah, that's how," Gracy confessed.

"Okay..." Cassie and Colin thought together.

"So what ya'll up to? Gracy asked.

Cassie filled Gracy in on how they lost Stella and how they sneaked out to try to find her. "Boy, did I love your cat! But I reckon she probably got herself lost in the woods! My cat always took off over yonder, pointing towards Oak Woods."

"Ma, ya think I could go with'em?" Gracy asked.

"Get over here right now young wee lad," yelled her mom with an irritated look on her face.

"Heck, well whatever." Gracy grouched while rolling her eyes to let her friends know that she wouldn't be able to help hunt for Stella.
