It was getting dark. Julian and his friend Roger
were playing in the forest when Julian realized they
had to get home.
"Look Roger," Julian said. "The bats are coming
out, I think it's time we get home."
"No way, man. Let's keep going." Roger insisted.
"Maybe if we're lucky we'll see a wolf!"

"Great. We're lost." Julian moaned. "Why do I ever
listen to you?"
Before Roger could reply, a loud scream was
heard from nearby, and as Julian and Roger ducked
into the bushes, they saw a strange looking man run
by and a few more followed close by, as if they were
chasing him.

As the last person rushes off, Roger sees a
shimmering light emitting from a nearby bush. He got
up, walked to it, and slowly picked it up. It was a ring.
He gently put it onto his left middle finger.

"Great, you've got a shiny ring, now take it
off, Roger." Julian said. "You don't want to be
seen wearing that valuable thing. Someone
might want to steal it."
"Good thinking, pal." Roger replied
sarcastically as he began to remove the ring.
But it wouldn't budge, the ring was stuck.
As Julian and Roger were arguing
uncontrollably, a figure appeared before them.

"I am Chief Running Water. Do you know
what you have?" He asked. "That's the
Okwanuchu sacrificial ring. He who wears it
can't take it off until death! The previous
recipient ran off before they could put it on
him, and now that you have it. You are
sentenced to die under Chief Running Water's
name!"
"Uh-oh..." uttered Roger.

Julian and Roger glanced at each other and
bolted off, but they didn't make it very far
before Chief Running Water's men captured
the two.
They were dragged by their feet across a
clearing into what appeared to be a Native
American village. As they came into the
village, everyone came out of their homes to
watch what was happening, and priests walked
in unison out of the temple chanting a
disturbing incantation.
