Hi my name is Samantha Mitchell but my friends call me Sam.  I am four years old and attend Twiggs Learning Tree.  I am in Ms. Monique’s class with twelve of my friends.

In Ms. Monique’s class we learn about all sorts of interesting things.  We’ve learned about insects, our feelings and the solar system (Which was my favorite.)  But this week we will be learning about Families.

Ms. Monique told us there are all types of families.  Some families have no children.  Some families have lots of children.  Some families have two mommies or two daddies.  Some have just a mommy or just a daddy.  Then there are families like my family that have a mommy and a daddy at their house and a brother and another mommy in their own home.

Before my dad met my mom he had another family that included my brother Alex and his mom Ms. Brenda.  My dad tells me he and Ms. Brenda are still good friends and have to work together to raise my brother.
