Collie is a gray-haired, quiet cat that enjoys time by herself. Everyday she follows the same routine of waking up, cuddling with her owner Gina, eating breakfast and once Gina goes to work the ability to do whatever she pleases. Her favorite activity is sleeping and watching the birds out the window. She enjoyed the peacefulness and couldn’t be happier. She enjoyed the peacefulness and couldn’t be happier.

2
It was late afternoon when Collie heard Gina come home from work. She meandered to the laundry room where her food bowl sat. Gina gave her some food, and stared at Collie while she ate. Collie thought it was rather odd, but continued to eat the deliciousness of adult lite food.

3
That evening while Gina and Collie were cuddling on the recliner watching basketball Gina started to tell Collie some news that would forever change Collie’s current lifestyle. Gina decided that Collie needed a playmate since life as an only cat had to be quite lonely. She explained that she had gone to the shelter and instantly fell in love with a small, gray, female kitten. However, the kitten had a brother and they had never been separated before so she was considering taking both of them home. While Gina talked, Collie became more and more agitated. How could she do this to me? Doesn’t she know that I’m content being alone? What if they ruin my life?
4
She then considered how quiet her life was, and that maybe the kittens would enjoy doing some of the same things she enjoyed. Plus, Collie knew from experience that being in the shelter was not an enjoyable place and the kittens deserved a nice home. Collie calmed back down and let Gina continue to tell her about her new siblings while enjoying some petting.

5
The next day Collie woke up as usual, cuddled with her owner Gina, ate breakfast and after Gina left she decided to come up with different activities that she could do with her new siblings. She thought that they would also enjoy sleeping in various places throughout the house and watching the birds out the window. As she contemplated what else they would enjoy she heard Gina come home.

6
Collie raced inside, up the stairs and to the laundry room where the food bowl was. However she came to a screeching halt once she smelled something that wasn’t adult lite food. It was unusual, something she hadn’t smelt before. It hit her like a rock. Gina brought home not one, but two new kittens.
7
Gina smiled at Collie, and continued to carry the large, white box into the house. Collie, curious followed. Gina walked downstairs to the extra bedroom and shut the door behind her. Collie stared at the door willing it to open, but it wouldn’t.

8
Behind the door was Gina and the two new kittens. Gina let them out of the box and they instantly ran and hid under the bed. They were almost identical in color, except for the difference in tails. Misty, the female kitten had an all gray tail while Louie had a striped gray tail. They were only eight weeks old, and had been abandoned by their mother at four weeks. Eventually Gina coaxed the kittens to come out of the bed, and she petted them, which they absolutely loved.

9
Meanwhile, Collie had given up on waiting to see the kittens and instead lay down, waiting for Gina to come upstairs and spend time cuddling together. Time passed, and still Gina didn’t appear. Collie decided to just go to bed, and climbed into Gina’s bed, still waiting for Gina to appear.

10
The next morning Collie woke up in an empty, cold bed. Gina never came to bed last night. She wandered out into the hallway, looking for her when she heard a strange noise. She remembered that she had two new siblings, but still hadn’t met them. She walked downstairs and noticed the door was still shut. She started to meow, and soon Gina opened the door. Collie walked inside, and looked around the room. There they were, Louie and Misty, each smaller than a watermelon.
