WHY HIPPOS ARE HAIRLESS.

Long time ago, there were hippos and crocodiles. Hippos and crocodiles were very good friends. They used to stay together, eat together and hunt together.

They were very close friends; many animals admired them and wished to be like them.

But as days went by there came a very strong heat blaze that no one had ever imagined or even saw.

As days went by the hippo’s and crocodile’s friendship started decreasing, this was because of the lizard

The lizard was very jealous of their friendship so he started befriending crocodile by lying to him about the hippo and saying words that were not true about the hippo. So the crocodile accepted the lizard’s words and started hating hippo.

Hippo was very sad about it and decided to migrate from where she was leaving with crocodile to a place near a lake and that was where crocodile lived too but he lived in the lake he swam and swam during day time and in the evening he slept

One day the lizard said to crocodile; do you know who is causing this heat blaze. The crocodile said; no I don’t my friend, the lizard replied; it is the hippo who is causing this heat blaze because of his hairy body. The crocodile believed and asked the lizard, So what are we going to do to stop this heat blaze? Asked the crocodile, we must burn her up replied the lizard, the crocodile agreed with the lizards idea and decided to do it the following day.

At night when the hippo was sleeping the crocodile set fire in hippos hose and left, the hippo soon came to realize that her house was burning when she also started burning, poor hippo she rolled and twisted and jumped but the fire was not off her body so she ran quickly and dipped her body into the lake she slept in the lake the whole night
