The Jewish book of worship is called the Tankah.
They believe that they were given a Torah or
instructions on how to live their lives. The Torah is
almost the same as the 10 commandments in the
bible Christians believe in.

Jews believe in only One God and that He has
created everything. They also believe in everything in
the Old Testament. They are waiting on a Messiah
and that the Messiah is the greatest prophet.

4 BC Birth of Jesus Christ, in Bethlehem.
30 AD Death of Jesus Christ.
33 Pentecost and the coming of the Holy Spirit .
Sometimes known as the Birthday of the Church.
33 Stephen First Christian martyr .
48 Council of Jerusalem.
Gentile Christians accepted alongside those in the Jewish tradition.

62 Martyrdom of James "The Lord's Brother".
67-68 Apostles Peter and Paul martyred in the reign of the Roman
emperor Nero.
From 70 Centre of Christianity moves to Antioch, Alexandria and Rome.

301 Armenia becomes the world's first country to officially adopt
Christianity as the state religion.

Christian's holy book is called the bible. In the bible it states to live
by the commandments given. It's their belief to honor the Sabbath
and worship their Savior Jesus Christ, who they believe died to save
them from their sins.

Christans solely believe that their are 3 Gods in one, Father, Son
and Holy Ghost. They believe that the Son of God, Jesus, was sent to
die for their sins on a cross. Once he was crucified, He rose again.
Which is why they celebrate Easter Sunday.

Hinduism


800-300 The 11 major Upanishads are written, which include the ideas
of reincarnation and karma.
500 BCE-1000 Epics and Puranas are written, reflecting the rise of
devotional movements dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu and Devi.
5th cent. Buddhism and Jainism founded in India.
320-185 Mauryan Dynasty founded by Chandragupta.
320-500 Gupta empire.
500-650 Gupta empire divides into several kingdoms.
600-1600 Rise of devotional movements, worship rituals, idea of
equality of devotees.
7th-11th cent. Esoteric movements based on Tantras develop.
870-1280 Cholas dynasty. Hinduism arises in the south.

Hinduism have many holy writings, including the Upanishads and
Purānas. Hinduism is considered one of the oldest religions in the
world. They believe in following the guidelines that are written in
their many holy books.

Hindu's believe in things like Karma, Samsara. These are a way of
saying if you do something to hurt someone else, then you, yourself
will be hurt. They also believe that they need to make themselves
like Brahman. Brahman is kind of like their God or spirit they
worship.

Buddhism


469 Approximately 16 factions ten years after Buddha's death
390 2nd Council declares a minority orthodox (Hinayana) and
the majority heretic (Mahayana)
297 King Asoka converted to Buddhism; Buddha from
small group to state religion and local religion to world religion
as Asoka sends out Buddhist missionaries
247 Asoka calls 3rd Council to agree on authentic
Buddhist scriptures
1st century Perhaps as many as 500 sects of
Buddhists
200 Development of Hinayana Buddhism

Buddhist's holy writing is called the Tripitaka. They
are close to the same as scriptures. Although, they
also have eight books they believe in. Most taught in
schools in India and China.
