The most Influential person in this book, largely due to his time spent in office compared to the rest, John Marshall led the supreme court from 1801-1835. One of the biggest effects he continues to leave on America is the Judicial Review; the ability to declare any law unconstitutional and render it null.

Madison got Florida from Declares war against Britain

Spain

James Madison was elected president just in to declare war on Britain. This War of 812 led to the abolishment of the federalist party, the encouragement of American Industry, and confirmed status as our own free and independent nation.

- Got us Florida from Spain

- Declared War of 1812 (and lost)

- Convention of 1818 that led to a fixed border and an agreement with Britain to share the Oregon Territory which will last for the next ten years.
