Screams echoed through the village of Galvadon, men, women and children grasping their mothers, ran in all direction to escape the huge war-like soldiers. Dark days have been started just like the old crazy women had predicted. She entered the village wearing a dark cape around her and yelling all around, "Dark days are here! Dark days are here!" When the villagers tried to see who that old women was she disappeared into thin air. That's how all this got started, the villagers getting captured and some people escaping from this and one of this girl was Alessandra.

Prologue

Chapter 1

On a beautiful sunny day, Alessandra sat by the big window in her bedroom looking upon her grandma, who was tending her garden filled with vivid flowers. She sat there and tried to gather her mom's features when she was a child. She remembered her golden hair shining by the sun while she picked out flowers and her light brown eyes. She got her mom's golden hair and dad's stunning blue eyes that her grandmother told her about. Her grandma used to tell her about her parents and how they died from this disease called Anamic when she was just 4 years old ,it has been 13 years since then. Alessandra always dreamt of her parents being in another distant land captured. If that was true, Alessandra would save her parents.

She heard the door creek open and there stepped in her grandma. She looked just like her dad in the picture that she found in the attic. She has brown hair but, know her hair has turn gray like leaves. "Your friend, Lily is down stairs waiting for you," said her grandma in her tired tone. She ran to her friend and they both went off to the creek just like they planned yesterday afternoon. Alessandra and her friend always spend their time in creek sometimes dipping their feet in the water gossiping, or doing archery or finding sea creatures.They both sat down by the creek and dipped in the cool water of creek. Alessandra loved being with her friend by the creek. Sometimes they catch fish with their cupped hands. She always loved feeling the cold smooth scale of tiny golden fishes.

After few hours her friends brother, Jed came to take his sister. "Hey there, Alessandra, how you doing?" Startled she looked up at his deep greenish eyes, for some reasons Alessandra always felt awkward with him. "I am okay" Alessandra responded. Alessandra always thought Jed being strong and handsome he had brown hair and deep green eyes like the forest, she felt like blushing. Suddenly, strange women came up with a dark purplish cape around her and started pointing at Alessandra. Startled Alessandra asked,"excuse me can I help....." but was cut off with this old lady yelling"Your parents are still alive! They are captured by the Northern Kingdom of Novania! You are the one, You are the one!" Allesandra was puzzled she didn't know what to do. When Alessandra was gonna ask, this women disappeared the same way she came. Alessandra didn't know what to do she just stared at the spot where the women stood.

Chapter 2

Alessandra went to her grandma's cottage in utter silence. When she entered the cottage, everything was silent. Alessandra couldn't stop thinking about the crazy woman's message. Alessandra was startled by this silence, her grandma usually is in the kitchen cooking lunch while singing. Alessandra panicked and crept up the stairs to her grandma's room. She knew it, she knew her grandma's end was coming, each day he grandma grew tireder and painful. Slowly Alessandra sat by her grandma's bed while her grandma lay there." I am sorry on what I did, I had to keep you safe from harm," said her grandma, Alessandra stopped confused just like earlier today. Her grandma was lying on her cot eyes barely opened and her tone raspy. Her grandma started talking more, "I want you to listen carefully your mother and father were captured by Novania Kingdom in Finland. The night was dark when the soldiers came, they captured half of the settlers here," Alessandra just sat their and didn't know what to say.

" You were only six and I held you in my hands and we hid by the creek with other villager while your mother was captured with your dad and other settlers.When you were born I promised your mom to protect you with my heart and I wanted to keep you safe from going and finding your parents ,you were like that when you were a child always brave and daring,"her grandma whispered in her raspy tone. Tears started pouring on Alessandra's face and her grandma wiped it away and said her last words, "Over the years you proved me wrong, go find Gilbert over by the hills and promise me you would find your mother." Then Alessandra saw her grandma's hand fall on the bed and she left Alessandra with a path,destiny and hope to find he lost family.

Alessandra hurried to Lily's house, Lily was in front of her house doing laundry. Lily looked totally different than her brother she had dark black hair with light brown eyes. Alessandra came up to her and told her what her grandma said and how she slowly died with the truth. As she came to end , Lily's face turned white as snow."I have to find that man" Alessandra said,"and I want to go find my parents " Liliy's brother came from behind the door and said "I won't let you go alone,I'm coming with you," and then Lily pipes,"and I'm coming to". From that moment Alessandra knew that her life is going to change forever.

Chapter 3

The sun was beating down as Alessandra,Lily and Jed walked toward the edge of the village Galvadon. Side by side they walked in utter silence after few hours trekking up hilly grounds they come upon this small red brick cottage wit smoke coming out of the chimney which gave proof that someone lived in this remote place. They were at the edge of the hill where after you pass it there us just snowy mountains. Alessandra knocked on the door and after few minutes an old man with gray hair opened it. He had short grayish hair and light brown eyes, if he was younger he might've been a handsome man thought Alessandra.

Alessandra had a cup of warm milk in her hand and was listening to Gilbert about how he was a really good friend of her dad and how he got captured by the soldiers. He told them he escaped and from then started being this trader. Then he scurried through his bedroom and came back with this pediment. It was golden light blue shaped heart. "It was your mothers," he said "I traded my precious undies for this. I remembered it the moment I saw it from another merchant. Your mom used to wear it." As Alessandra held it she felt much closer to her mother.

Chapter 4

Lily,Jed and Alessandra followed Gilber through the snow. They were climbing the mountain to get this river called shoon. After this river lies Finland. Gilbert on the way there told about Finland's kingdom and powerful it is. This kingdom captured all the some settlers in both Swedan and Norway as slaves. Lily,Jed and Alessandra clomped their feet one by on to their destination Novania. Two days passed as the mentor explained all the things and the what type of soliders there are. Alessandra had no clue how she was going to save her parent but, she knew that their is hope.
