Meet Charlie! He's new to the family and he's the youngest one in the house! But today's a special day because he's finally old enough to go play with his older sister and the other dogs in the park!!

I'm so excited! I'm so excited!" He yipped as he ran in circles trying to catch his own tail, stumbling over his own large paws.
His mom said that his paws were so big because he was still young and he has a lot more growing to do and that one day he'll be big and strong but right now they just made Charlie feel clumsy and awkward.
"Ha-ha alright Charlie ready to go?" the mom asked.
"Let's go to the park!!" Charlies older sister Bella barked as she ran and pounced on him from across the room.

“Okay okay kids lets go to the park” the mom shouted as she loaded up the car.

As Charlies hopped into the car he thought about how much he loved his family. He had only been with them a short amount to time but they welcomed him into their home and immediately made him feel like a part of the family, and for that he was grateful.
Once they got to the park the mom opened the door and Bella jumped out and turned around to wait for Charlie but he was looking around him in awe.

He couldn’t have imagined this! It was like a whole new world for him! Dogs everywhere! And the tennis balls! So many balls, frisbee and sticks were being thrown across the park as groups of dogs bounded after them.
They were jumping in the lake, chasing each other and racing one another truing to be the first to tackle the toys. Charlie couldn’t take it anymore! He jumped down and leaped around with Bella until she saw some of her friends and started running towards them.

“Wait up!” Charlie yipped as he tried to follow her. He could tell this was going to be difficult keeping up with his sister and her friends.
Once he caught up they all introduced themselves and excitedly started their game of fetch.
When they were running over to start there game Charlie heard one of Bella’s friend say that she thought it was weird Charlie has so many spots on him and the friend agreed!
Charlie had never noticed how many spots he has but now he is a little self-conscious that he’s so different from them.

The mom started to throw the ball to the dogs and they would run after it as fast as they possibly could! They were having so much fun racing each other. Expect for poor Charlie.
He was trying so hard to keep up with the older dogs but it just wasn’t possible for his short puppy legs and big clumsy paws. Now he was really embarrassed.
Once they were tired of running after the ball they began to run after each other taking turns on who would get chased. But no matter how hard Charlie tried no one would chase him! He felt left out and started to think that it was because he has so many spots and looks so different compared to the other bigger, faster and more agile dogs.
On the way home Bella noticed that Charlie was sad.
“Didn’t you have a good time?” She asked

“No I didn’t, you guys were having so much fun running after the ball and I couldn’t” he whimpered. “you guys were just going too fast for me and no one wanted to play with me cause I look so funny.”
