Colt

Colt is the main character of the story. He loves the beach and surfing. The author directly describes him as "tan...blue eyes, ... shaggy blond hair"(Page 5). His parents died in a car crash in the beginning of the story so he moved to Arizona, where he moved in with his grandpa and became an agent in C.H.A.O.S.. Colt is really smart and does well in school and he had the best score ever on the C.H.A.O.S. exam.

Danielle

Danielle is has been best friends with Colt since they were little. They go to school together. Danielle is a nice person, and is popular at her school.

Romero / Oz

Romero and Oz are the same person. Romero is the name that he uses when he is at work as a C.H.A.O.S. agent. In his normal life, like at school, he uses the name Oz. He uses Oz instead of Romero to protect his identity from any Trident agents. Colt, Danielle and Oz are the three main characters in Invasion.

Setting

In the very beginning of the story, the setting was in California. California establishes the mood of a happy and good life. California shows this because it is a very sunny, and nice place. He lived with his parents in California, before his parents died. When his parents died, he moved to Arizona. Arizona establishes a mood of scary, darkness and mystery because Arizona is a very dark, dry and hot place.

Exposition

The exposition starts at the beginning of the book, where the author describes Colt's family and his life. He lives on an ocean beach, where he surfs every day. He has a mom who is a reporter and a dad who does business. Colt went to the CHAOS academy to take a test. After he took the test, he was given something to make him forget everything he saw there.

Rising Action

The rising action begins when Colt is visited by police officers, who tell him that his whole family has died in a tragic car accident. He then moves to Arizona to live with his grandpa. Colt starts to be attacked by these agents from Trident Industries, and random people will attack him out of no where. Colt thinks this may have to do something with him being a C.H.A.O.S. agent.

Climax

The climax happens when Colt discovers that his mom, who was a journalist, was writing about Trident Industries. She wrote about how they were trying to get more and more power, and would get rid of anything that's in their way, such as the C.H.A.O.S. agents. Colt also found out they Trident wanted to take over the world by implanting biochips into their brains to fully control anyone they wanted.

Falling Action

The falling action is when Colt, Oz and Danielle are attacked over and over again by Trident and his agents. Colt and his friends are forming a plan to end Trident Industries and find out who killed his parents.

Resolution

Trident Industries kidnaps Danielle to try and implant her with a mind controlling biochip. Colt and Oz meet a man who knows the building of Trident Industries. He helps get Danielle to safety right in time for when the C.H.A.O.S. agents show up and take down Trident Industries
