In the small town of Arkmunster, there was a small girl, Madchen.

She lives with her father, a well known toxicologist. She spends her days helping him, hoping to put herself through college. Her mom died when she was young, arising many questions in young Madchen's eyes.

Ever since mom died, you never come home, you're always here.

Well dear, I have devoted my life to finding a cure to the unknown poison that killed your mom.

Have you gotten anywhere with your research?

I still do not have a cure and I cannot find the origin.

Madchen's mother died when she was young of an unknown cause. She didn't know her well, but the hurt is still there. Her father tells her many stories of her mother, especially about her mothers love for frogs.

Papa, you need some rest. Please go, I'll lock up when I am finished.

Okay Madchen, just for you. Be careful. Lock up when you're done. (Rushing back inside with a raincoat, he lifts it up to her.) You may need this, it's supposed to storm.

As her father leaves, she stays to finish cleaning up the days work.

It begins to storm as she leaves, she decides to take her fathers advice and the the raincoat with her.

She is never startled, but the sudden appearance of a frog changed that. (she lays her Raincoat down to pick up the frog.)

I miss my mother.. (Turning to the frog she whispers) She loved frogs so much, she used to tell me stories of how if I kissed a frog, he'd magically turn into a prince. Sometimes.. I find myself believing it.

She kisses the frog, in hopes to make her mother proud.

A sudden crash of lightning is followed by Madchen falling unconscious. Appearing next is the evil prince, rache, meaning revenge, who was once a bufo toad. Leaving the Raincoat behind.

The evil prince, rache carries unconscious Madchen back to his evil palace.
