The French and Indian war. 1754-1763

Hi i am a flag for america. This battle is what started the revolutionary war. This was started because the french and British were fighting over land.

They keep placing me down then another person picked me up and put me some where else. This continued until both sides got fed up with it . The British ended up winning, with me going back to my colony.

The Stamp Act 1764

This happened because the British were broke and needed money. so they put a tax on all of my colonizes main paper so if they needed to print something on paper it would cost them tax .

The Townshed Act

This happened because the British were broke and needed money. so they put a tax on all of my colonizes main products we us. like glass, tea,metal and more.

Me being the flag i saw all this happen. MY people (the colonist) did not like this so they stared to rebel and not bye the products

The Boston tea party. 1773

This happened because my people did not like the tax that was put on them.

So they went to the tea ships dressed as Indians and throw over 92,000 pounds of tea. which is a lot. to get pay back on the British for making them pay for tax.

Paul Revere 1775

He had participated in the Boston tea party. He was mostly know for warning the Lexington minute men that the British were coming while riding his horse.

All though a lot of other people did the same thing he did but different places.

Declaration of Independence 1776

This was the document was written by Tomas Jefferson . This was written to the British from the colonies representatives. This was wrote because the colonies wanted to be know as there own country and no one else could control it.

They were feed up with all the British rules so they wanted to be on there own.

The Battle of Saratoga. 1777 September, 19

This was the war that was the turning point of the war. before this point the other side, British, was winning the war. What happened here was that are side, patios/ Americans, won are first battle and started to gain confidence and thought yeah i can do this.
