B is for bench where the players rest

Before they hop over the boards for their next shift!

C Is for coach, who calls the shots

Who runs the practices

And talks to the team before they start the GAME!

D Is for defence

Without defense goals will be scored

Defencemen skate forwards and backwards to save the goals!

E Is for Equipment

Which helps to keep you safe

You have a helmet, skates and stick, but don't forget your gloves or else you might get cold during the game!

F Is for Friends, You'll Make a lot during the year

By the end of the season you'll come home with 16 friends that you'll know for years to come!

G Is for Goals

You need more than one goal to win a game

Goals are hard to get, but with teamwork, goals will come often!

Outside on a lake

In the backyard rink that your parents just built with you after school

Or even in the local rink at 6 in the morning until it's time for school!

J Is for the Jammies that you wear before the big game

And keep on until you score that game winning goal!

Hockey isn't just for boys! Everybody can play hockey as long as they love to skate and play games! It will teach you team and listening skills and it is a great way to exercise and stay fit!

L Is for Lighting the Lamp

Every time a goal is scored a red light flashes, which means a goal is scored!

M is for Mascot

Our local mascot is Mac the Moose If you attend a Mooseheads game

Find him in the crowd and take a picture to share with your friends!

N is for Net, In order to win the game you must work as a team and put the puck in the net

P is for Puck, a tiny piece of rubber that moves swiftly across the ice

Passed between the players until it enters the NET!
