Plot Diagram-Exposition

In the start of the book, Eragon and Saphira are in a great mountain city called Tronjheim. A new leader was elected in the rebel group called the Varden, whose main goal is to free the people from the evil king Galbatorix.

Rising action-In the middle of the story Eragon and Saphira travel with the elf Arya and Dwarf Orik to the grand Elf city of Ellesmera to finish Eragon and Saphira's training so they can complete their training to defeat the evil king. They are met by a surprise another dragon rider who hid in the elf city so he could train the next dragon rider.

Rising action-While Eragon and Saphira are training Eragon faces many challenges the biggest one is his back where a scar from a shade he killed lays. His back causes more trouble every day until the elves Blood-oath Celebration were the dragon's of old healed Eragon and gave him the power and looks of the most powerful elf warrior so he could defeat his enemies. He continues training until Eragon had to leave to help fight the empire with the Varden.

Climax-Eragon is healed by the dragons and finally has a chance of beating the king. They almost finish training when they had to leave to fight with the Varden in the battle of the burning plains.

Falling action-Eragon, Saphira, Orik and Ayra fight with the Varden to defeat the empires 100,000 troop army. With Eragon's powers he easily cut through thousands of men with Saphira's help, but soon loose a lot men and start to loose until the Dwarf King Hrothgar brings his troops and again the Varden start to win the battle.
