It was a cold Halloween night, I was home alone and my parents had taken my siblings to go trick-or-treat. That night I was downstairs in the living room watching comedy movies when I hear someone knocking on the door. I stood up to go see who it is, I thought it must have been trick or treaters but when I opened the door there was no one there. I closed it and walked back to the living room, but when I got there I seen that the window was wide open.

I walked up to the window and stuck my head out to look outside and no one was there, so I locked it, just then I heard creeking on the stairs as if someone had ran upstairs. I grab the phone off the counter and I go to the stairs and yell if there’s anyone up there. There was no response so I go upstairs and looked around in every room. When I got to my parent’s room I saw a shadow so I ran downstairs then I tried to call my parents but my phone had no charge. So I ran to the living room and hid in a closet.

Then, 10 minutes later I didn’t hear any more noises so I opened the closet door and ran to my kitchen and got the house phone to call my parents. My dad answered the phone and I told him about the strange things that have been happening in the house. He told me they were on their way home and to wait for them outside. So once I was outside I waited and from outside I heard laughing and yelling and when I looked up I seen my light on in my room and a black shadow passing by, I was scared but then I seen my dad coming. After they got off the car I told them what I heard and what the shadow had done.

They looked confused and scared but then we walked into the house and everything was organized and there was nothing broken. Then I looked in the mirror and all the bruises and scratches were gone. My parents then looked at me and they said there was nothing going on in the house and that I need to go talk to a doctor or someone that can help me with what I’m seeing and hearing.
