Terry the cherry was an only child. He lived in Seattle with his mother Mary, and his father Harry. Terry was also shy and lonely and didn't have many friends. He was small for his age, but wanted to grow up to be big and strong like his dad.

Terry went to a new school, the kids at school were much bigger than him. But Terry didn't think much about it. His classmates were Gilbert the Grape, Alex the Apple, Kyle the Kiwi, and his teacher, Mr. Walter the Watermelon.

Stay Strong Terry

Terry got along with all the other fruits, except Gilbert. Gilbert was always teasing Terry because he was so small, and Gilbert pushed him around because he was so much bigger than him. This made Terry really depressed, and he wanted to do something about it. Terry treated everyone nicely, including Gilbert, and hoped Gilbert would treat him the same way.

Terry asked Alex for help. Alex said Gilbert was always a bully, and Terry should stay strong and not let it get to him. Alex was a good obedient Apple, that was a rule follower and got good grades. Terry was still a little upset at Gilbert.

It will all be okay my son.

Later that day Terry went home and cried. He knew that he didn't do anything wrong. His Dad told him that he should tell Mr. Walter if it gets worse. But Terry was smart and logical enough to know that it would only make Gilbert hate him more. Terry tried his best to stay strong.

The next day it got even worse. Terry went to school early to talk to Mr. Walter, but what he ended up seeing was Gilbert trashing the entire classroom! Then writing on the board to make it look like Terry had done it. Terry was in shock, and didn't know what to do.
