      Once upon a time there was two girls that 

did not like each other. Sophie and Maggie do 

not like each other since the third grade, and 

now they attend the same high school. Maggie 

is a shy and quiet girl which makes it hard for her 

to keep friends, yet she has two friends named 

Nichole and Chloe. Sophie is very popular, has six 

friends in total, has the ability to easily make friends 

and is good socializing even though she is a mean 

person.

Maggie, Nicole and Chloe walk home together 

everyday after school to keep each other 

company. 

"Hey Maggie what are you doing tonight?" Nicole 

asked. "Um I don't think I can do anything, I'm 

too busy with homework." Maggie replied. "Ugh! 

You're so lame!" said Nicole. 

Even though Maggie saw Nicole and Chloe as 

friends they never really had anything in 

common. 

The next morning at school as Maggie walked 

in she noticed that Chloe and Nicole were 

talking to Sophie. Maggie overheard the 

ending of the conversation. "I only talk to her 

because I feel sorry for her" Nicole told Sophie 

"yeah, she's not even cool" added Chloe. "Shh 

she's coming this way" said Sophie.

    Maggie was upset the rest of the day because she felt 

betrayed by people who she taught were her friends. 

Sadly enough Sophie,Nicole,Chloe and Maggie shared 

the same classroom for the last period. Maggie sat alone 

in the front while Nicole and Chloe sat next to her, 

assuming that she did not hear what they said about 

her.   Maggie did not want to confront them because she 

did not want to get more hurt. 

Nicole: "Hey Maggie!, Sophie said she would let us in her 

clique if all three of us shave are head bald" 

Maggie:"No I'm not shaving my head bald! If popularity 

is so important to you than go ahead and shave your 

head bald!"  

Nicole: "Don't you want to be popular!" 

Maggie:"No" 

Chloe: "we don't need you anyways!"  

 " Welcome to the popular side"   said Sophie with 

a smile from ear to ear in her face. 

Maggie just stood watching her friends being 

taken away because she was not strong enough to 

keep them.
