The Day I Was Born... April 13, 2003

On Sunday, April 13, 2003, at 10:42 AM I was born. I was born in Putnam Hospital in Carmel, New York. All of my closest family members came to meet me on that fateful day. Even my older brother was excited to meet me.

My First Day of Preschool - 2007

I was very excited to start preschool because I wanted to be just like my older relatives. I went to preschool at Drew Nursery School in Carmel, New York. Although I was very excited to start school, I was still pretty nervous about leaving my parents.

Elementary School 2008 - 2013

After learning the ropes in preschool I was ready for elementary school. I attended Kent Primary School in Carmel, New York. At this point, I felt like an adult because I saw the big 4th graders at school everyday. My favorite thing to do in school was Gym because we had gymnastics mats everywhere and I ended up falling in love with the sport.

My First Gymnastics Class - 2011

After begging my parents to put me in gymnastics for about two years, they finally did. A new gym called Vega Gymnastics was opening in my town. I was the very first to sign up for classes. I remember walking through the gym when there was no equipment and Kris, the gym owner, holding my hand to make sure I didn't get hurt.

Competitions: 2013 - Today

After only a year and a half of taking gymnastics classes, I was asked to be on the very first competition team. Overjoyed, I of course said yes. In 2013, I began competing level 3 gymnastics and I now I compete level 7. Many of the girls on my team now are people who were in my classes, so we are a very close team.

Graduating Middle School - 2017

This coming year I will graduate from New Fairfield Middle School. After receiving high honor roll all year long I will be elected as valedictorian. While sitting in the high school gym for graduation, I will looked to see my family smiling and congratulating me on doing so well in school.

15th Birthday - April 13, 2018 (what I hope happens)

In two years, on my 15th birthday I will have a small party with my close friends. We will eat good food, play fun games, and watch a movie. I intend on staying up as late as possible talk with my friends after eating a lot of delicious cake.

On my 15th birthday, I decided to have a few friends over to my house. Everything was going well, until a bag of a powder substance, cocaine, was brought into the mix. All of my friends started to use it and I felt very uncomfortable. I started to stare, then suddenly my friend said, "Do you want to try it, you should? Only cool people have this." They began to pressure me and I fell through. This was the start of my cocaine addiction.

Driver's License - 2019 (what I hope happens)

When I get my driver's license, I will most likely have to share a car with my brother. Although, if I do get my own car, I would want a Jeep Grand Cherokee, so I could drive all my friends around. I will have a lot of fun while driving, but I will be cautious of unsafe activities.

What actually happened - Society

After my addiction started, cocaine became my number one priority. Before this, I wanted to have a successful future, get my driver's license, a nice job, etc. but I didn't care about that anymore. However, I still wanted a driver's license. I walked in to driver's ed to take my final test, but I was unable to take it because I was high at the time. My instructor was worried about her well being and mine, too, so I never got my driver's license. Also, I was unable to get a nice, well paying job, so I ended up working at Panda Express.
