This book is dedicated to each and every one of you! Because all of you have your own tail (and no I do not mean tale). For example a dog has a tail, it follows the dog everywhere. In the same way we all have tails which is our past and that is the reason we stand where we are right now! This of course is a made up tail because my real tail is way to boring. So I hope that after reading this book, you are inspired to write your own tale! I MEAN TAIL! O! M! G! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!!

Once upon a time.... Hold up, this ain't a fairy tale!! Ok, ok, so, there once was a girl named Priyanka (me), and I (Priyanka) LOVED animals, especially dogs! One day Alfie, my dog, and I went for a walk in the woods! And like always, Alfie ran around as fast as lightning and I was trying to catch up... I have asthma. Every day Alfie would become braver and faster and so would I.
One day, Alfie and I ran a little too far... [ok, ok, not a little. Happy?! Good continue on, now!] Anyways, sorry about that; that was the future me arguing with the present me AGAIN... [HEY!!] (See what I mean) Lets just forget 'bout that, okay? Soooo, continuing from where I left off (ahem, ahem) [ you mean WE! OMG, you are so annoying] continuing from where WE left off, we ran too far so we had to start living by ourselves, luckily I always WOULD carry a backpack with me. But this time I had none, so we had to find a way to survive!

(giggles) ALFIE WAIT UP!!
WOOF, WOOF!
Survivor
So we walked....walked....walked.... till we were exhausted. We were definitely lost! Luckily we stopped at a spring with fresh water. The grass was lime green, the sun shone bright as the water glistened. Although it was a hot day, there was a nice, old, sturdy, apple tree with apples sweeter than sugar, juicier than tomatoes, and brighter than stop signs right above our heads.
So Alfie and I ate a few apples. Then we went to a blueberry bush about 3 feet away and right when I picked up a blueberry, out of nowhere, came a big (fat) snake. Obviously I became it's friend and every day the big snake would come to Alfie and I with a bird. Kinda disgusting so I went with eating the fruits but Alfie and the snake would share the bird. Then one day the snake never returned so Alfie and I went looking for it. We found the snake trapped in a net, we ran up to him but, all of a sudden, something horrible happened!

Kidnapper
Right when we approached him, a man wearing a hoodie (which prevented me from seeing his face) snatched me away and carried me to a van as fast as lightning, he opened the trunk and threw me in. He quickly closed and locked the trunk and drove away. After what felt like hours in that humid trunk that smelled like sweat, the man opened the trunk.
I tried to scream for help but before I knew it, he taped my mouth, cuffed my wrists (I don't know where in the world he got those handcuffs from)... [FROM JAIL DUMBHEAD!! Sorry, geez...] and he tied my feet together with a VERY itchy rope. He was carrying me to the old, abandoned house in front of us but luckily somebody was calling him, so he dropped me on the grass and looked away as he spoke to the person on the other end of the phone.

Yes, mhm, yes sir, she is with me.

Life Saver
As I laid on the grass, on the gloomy day, I felt a tug at my feet! Whatever it was released my feet and then something slithered up my back and broke my handcuffs. I got up, looked down, and happiness rushed through my veins as I saw Alfie and the snake at my feet! They saved me! Before I asked any questions or thanked them, I used the rope as a leash for Alfie, let the snake wrap around my arm, and ran for my life (LITERALLY). The lightning was so loud, it made the man seem deaf. Suddenly it started raining, so the snake hid inside my long, thick hair. Also, since I've been running for what felt like my whole life with Alfie, I was almost next to Alfie as he ran. It was hard to see in the rain and the fog that started rising. I almost had an accident with a car, luckily it stopped in time. Inside the car was a police officer. She took me in her car and I told her everything that happened, ending my unbelievable story with "Alfie is my hero." The police officer told reporters and my story was heard on the news, and the headline of every newspaper in the city. Everyone knew Alfie as a hero.
