The famous movie "Titanic" has been a great success over these last couple of years. This is the reason why people have made a "New Titanic" to make it even more interesting. Everyone was excited to visit this New Titanic. Because many people were going on the  cruise at the same time, the ship couldn't hold all 500 passengers.

Buoyancy Unbalanced forces

The captain had to find a solution to this problem.

The problem was that when you put too much weight on the ship, it will sink.  Captain George had to figure out a way to make the ship more buoyant. The ship couldn’t hold the passengers because the force of gravity was greater than the force of buoyancy. The forces were unbalanced.

To fix the problem, Captain George made the ship hollow instead of solid metal. Now all of the passengers could go on the cruise. Water has a density of one so the density of the ship had to be less than one in order to float.

Captain George and all of the passengers had set sail. Everything was going great until  the ship suddenly stopped because they had gotten stuck in a sandbar. Friction is the force that opposes the motion between two surfaces that touch in opposite directions. Friction causes an object to slow down and eventually stop.The smoothness of the surfaces affect how much friction exists.Friction is what is stopping the ship from going any further.

To get out of this problem, people had to push the ship out of the sand. It was hard to do that, because friction was still acting on the ship. While the people were pushing the ship out of the sand, some rocks make small holes in the bottom of the ship and water came through which increased the mass of the ship,and made it heavier.

Some of the crew members had to patch the holes in the ship so that it wouldn’t fill up with more water and sink. After the holes were patched, the ship carried on with its journey.
