As Mia paced about in her room, all she could think
about was freedom. Her father was marrying her off in
order to acquire an alliance with the Kingdom of
Azrael. She tried to voice her discord about the
situation. However, this was proven to be a mistake,
when her parents locked her her room to repent and
accept her fate,
”This is not my destiny” Mia whispered to herself. After
days of deliberation she decided that she must escape
or live in misery forever. As she was starting to pack
her bags, the door of the room flew open.

“What do you think you’re doing?” her mom said
“What does it look like I’m doing? Why do you even care? You
leave me to die in this room. You want to marry me off to a man I
have never met.” Mia yelled in frustration.
“Do not speak to me in that tone. You will marry the Duke of
Leviathan! He is a respectable man and this marriage will give us
the leverage to expand. Your sacrifice will be greatly appreciated”
yelled her father
“No. If she does not want to marry the Duke she does not have
to. Let her leave and experience the dangers of the forest. After
all what harm can it do? The sooner she realizes her mistake the
faster she will come crawling home begging for our forgiveness.”
her mom said.
“Thank you mother, but you will be proven false. I will never come
back and would rather die before I marry the Duke.” Mia said with
rage

Mia was finally free from her parents. She did not have
anywhere to go. Mia had a friend she can go to but she didn’t
know how long she would be there for. Mia was determined to
move on with her life. She did not want to go back to the place
she once loved then hated. Mia’s hatred for her use to be
home was bad. Mia sister has always been jealous of her. She
always wanted what Mia had or better. She was happy that
Mia left because now she would be the one to get everything.
Things were going on unexpectedly. She heard people talking,
it was coming from behind but no one was there when she
turned. So she continued walking. She heard it again.

“Who is there? What do you want from me?” Mia yelled. Suddenly she
heard only one voice
“Hello Mia. Sweet little Mia. All alone and defenseless in the forest.
Why it is that such a delicate creature has run away from her mommy
and daddy? Mia trying to survive on her own do not make me laugh.
Where are your maids when you need them? Mia you will not even
stay here for a day.”
“Why are you being so mean? Why don’t you show yourself? I will
survive more than a day. I will stay here as long as I need to so I can
prove a point to my parents.”
“A point? Your parents do not care anymore they have Gwendolyn.
She listens and does whatever is told of her to do. You might as well
just die in these woods and no one would ever know.”
“I am not going to die I will find a way to keep myself from dying”
