A girl named Maya has to stay inside at night because if the moonlight shone on her she would turn into a vampire and lose control of her mind. She would go crazy. Her family tried to help her as much as they could. Sometimes it didn't work. It was a mystery how it started to happen to her and why it happened to just her. It was like she was the chosen one or something.

One day Maya woke up and saw there was nobody in the house. She was confused and went to the town to find them. She found her way into the woods and then it began to rain. Then thunder and lightning shot out of the sky and something came out of a bush. Maya thought it was a wolf, but it was a husky. The dog looked lonely and hungry. Maya said "I'm going to name you Rover." It was getting late. Maya was getting sleepy...

Maya, or a vampire because the moonlight shone down and made her a vampire woke up but didn't know it. The husky got scared and hid behind a tree. Soon Maya was out of control destroying the trees around her. She was about to destroy the tree Rover was hiding behind, but got interrupted because the sun came out and she turned back into Maya. She fell back asleep and it was as if nothing had happened.

Maya woke up from the licking of Rover and she said "I must have fallen asleep, we better get back to the village." They walked back to the village and it was beautiful. Everyone was rushing around doing errands. "Well, I guess my family isn't around here. We'll have to look somewhere else, if you even want to come with me " Maya said to Rover. "Woof! Woof!" said Rover. "I'll take that as a yes!" said Maya.
