Wednesday, November 23

Today was my birthday, I turned 12 years old! This is my very first time writing on here because I got this diary as a gift from my mama. She knows how much I like to write so I am very happy that she got me this. I had so much fun today. We went to my favorite taco place and after dinner we went to grab some ice cream which almost never happens but mama made an exception because of my special day.

Friday, November 25

 I had a good day at school today, I went to the library with my class and checked out a book on mermaids! I came home from school and mama made my favorite food, enchiladas! As soon as papa got home from work they broke the news to me that we were leaving to a place named North Dakota for the winter. THE WHOLE WINTER INCLUDING CHRISTMAS! I don’t want to go there!!

Monday, November, 28

I have not been writing lately because I have been

really mad. I stayed in my room the whole weekend and I have not talked to my parents at all. The last thing they told me was that we had to leave because papa lost his job and now he had to go work at some farm. I cried all night.

Tuesday November 29

I broke the news to my best friend Regina today at school. She wasn't very happy but we promised we would keep in touch everyday. My parents said we would be leaving this coming weekend and we have been packing all of our belongings.

Friday, December 3

Today was my last day at school. I went over to Regina's house to hang out for the very last time. We watched our favorite movies and we ate popcorn. We both started crying when we said our goodbyes.

Saturday, December 4

It was early in the morning when we took off on our long journey to North Dakota. The views on our way over there were beautiful. There was a lot of trees and I was able to see deer for the very first time.

Monday, December 6

We arrived at the town we were to stay at on a Monday night. It is really cold here, I do not like it. Our house is quite small because that is the only house my dad was able to get since everything happened so quickly. I really hope we can go back home as soon as possible.
