Once there were three very different kittens. One was black, another was white,
and the last one was gray.

2

The white kitten was named Snowflake Super Ego, the grey kitten was named Edgar Ego, and the black one was Iris Id

3

Snowflake SuperEgo was a good little kitten. She always was on timefor supper, she always kept her fur very tidy, and always
did what her mother cat told her to. She was the oldest
of the kittens, and always looked after the other two kittens.

4

The seccond kitten, Iris Id, was the trouble maker of the three. Every dinner Iris Id demanded to be first and if she
wassn't she would pout and cry. Iris Id was the youngest
kitten and always wanted to be the center of attention.
This kitten was always ready to jump at a fun time.

5

The third and middle kitten was named Edgar Ego. He wasthe only boy of the group, and the most sensible of his
siblings. Edgar Ego is a good decision maker and a quick
thinker. Instead of emotion, Edgar Ego bases his decisions
on the Reality Principle. He is a very alert, conscious kitten.

6

Though the kittens were all three very different, they livedwith there mother cat in a very nice house and lived very
joyfull lives together. They loved everything about their home.

7

Everything, that is, except for a mouse.A mouse named Mr.Whiskers.

8

You see, Mr Whiskers lived in the kitchen where the kittensgo to enjoy their supper and breakfast. One night, after dinner,
the three kittens and their mother were lapping up milk out of a
saucer. Suddenly, the siblings saw Mr.Whiskers scurry across
the linoleum tile as fast as lightning.

9

"Did you see that?!" Exclaimed Edgar Ego, his little cat eyes dodgingaround the kitchen floor searching for the rodent. "Oh, I sure did!"
yelled Iris Id, "Lets go chase him and catch him and eat him!"

10

Old mother cat shook her head slowly, "No Iris", she said,"You never chase a creature in the house."
"I knew that!" Said Snowflake Superego, as she cleaned her
fuzzy white fur, uninterested in the mouse.
Iris Id rolled her eyes, Snowflake Superego always did
what she was supposed to.
