Chapter One:

I was riding in the car, on the way to my new house. Hi, my name is Caitlyn Allen. And this horror of a life all started when I moved here. It all started when I was washing the dished that we had just unpacked.

I was washing the dishes, when I heard a howl. Kind of like a wolf. I turned the faucet off, and listened for a few more seconds. After hearing it howl for almost a minute, and being so scared that I was frozen there listening to the howl, I finally gain my voice to say,''Mom!'' Mom comes ut of her room to the kitchen and says,'' Yes, honey? Why do you look so frightened?''

''Because I just heard a howl!''Then, mom said,'' Well, it could've been a truck. They have a lot of trucks in the neighbourhood.'' Then, I got so mad because she didn't believe me and I said,'' Mom, it was not like a hum that a truck gives off when it rolls on the highway. It was a howl like a wolf, or a bobcat.'' and then she said,'' Well, that's strange. We're in the middle of the city.'' And with that said, she walked into her room and closed the door.

That night, I was lying my bed, about to go to sleep, when I heard it again. The howl. I jumped out of my bed, and looked out of the window. I didn't see anything except a short figure walking down the street. But when it got closer... I realized that it was a cat. Not a normal cat, but a bobcat. And it was glowing. Without realizing it, I gasped. I got in my bed, but I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night.

Chapter Two:

In the morning, I got ready for school and got on the bus. People were yelling on the bus like they did the day before. I was so tired, that the whole day went by in a blur. The kids yelling, the history teacher blabbing on about Abraham Lincoln, sitting in the cafeteria eating my food, sitting all alone on a bench at recess, and the bus ride home.

It all happened like the day before. When I got home, mom looked so frightened, like she had seen a ghost. So I asked her what was wrong and she said,''We need to go. I´ll explain in the car.''Ok''I said as we got into the car. When we got our seat belts unbuckled, my mom said,'' You're Uncle Jeremy got hurt'' I was very confused.'' How?'' I asked getting a little scared. '' He's got a piece of his arm missing.'' My first thought was a bear. Then I thought, what if it was the bobcat I saw on the street?

When we got to the hospital, I was a little scared to see my Uncle with a chunk of his arm missing. But, when I got there, they had a bandage around his entire arm, so that was one good thing. But sometimes nurses overreact. ''Hey, Uncle Jeremy'' I said trying to hide the shock from my voice. I couldn't believe that he got hurt. I loved him.

''Hey, Caitlyn'' He said cooly acting like nothing happened and that he didn't just get a chunk of his arm bitten off by an animal. ''Who's my favorite niece?'' he asked like he does every time he sees me. '' Me'' I said with a little bit of a chuckle. '' So, how are you doing?'' I said, wondering what he was thinking. '' Good. And you?'' Wow. Totally knew he was going to say that.

Chapter 3:

'' Good. So, I was wondering...'' I said not really knowing how to ask what I wanted to ask in a respectful way.'' You're wondering what I saw before it all went back?'' He said, obviously reading my mind. ( which was easy to do at the moment). '' Yeah.'' I replied curiously. '' Well, I definitely know what attacked me. It was a bobcat.'' He sad. And before I could stop myself, I gasped. Mom turned to me,'' Whatś wrong, Caitlyn?'' She asked. Obviously she was curious.
