Socialization occurs throughout our life, but some of the most important socialization occurs in childhood. Four of the most influential agents of socialization during that phase of our lives are the family, school, peers, and mass media.


Family is usually considered to be the most important agent of socialization.
An increase in population, everyone started to have babies after WW ll.
is for Baby Boom


Everyone started to have babies, everywhere you turned there was a new born baby.
is for church

A church is a type of religious organization that is well integrated into the larger society.

A lot of people go to church to learn more about god.
is for Discrimination

The unfair treatment of one particular person or group of people.

Discrimination is still bad in this world.
is for Ethnic Group

People of the same race or nationality who share a distinctive culture\
People who are from the same
culture normally have the same
ethnic group.

is for Fashion

A socially approved but temporary style of appearance or behavior.
Some people depend on
new cloths to make
them happy.

is for Gender

The state of being a male or a female.
Women go to the doctor soon after they find out their pregnant to discover the gender
of their baby.

is for Hispanics

A general term referring to Spanish-speaking person.
I wish i could
speak Spanish.

is for Imprint

Imprint is when the first person you see you become attracted to them for a way to survive.
your mom normally lives an
imprint on you from when
you were born.

is for Judaism

Judaism is the belief of one god, and they´re waiting for their savior to come.
There are a lot of different
beliefs, and Judaism is one
of them.

is for Kinship

Socially defined family relationships, including those based on common parentage, marriage, or adoption.
Everyone has a kinship with other people.
is for Looking Glass self

Talks about how you see yourself and how that has to do with how you think others see you.
Sometimes I wish I could view myself
through someone else´s eyes.

is for Mass Media

The way people get information without having to meet anyone.
Mass Media has taken
over the world.

is for Norms

Norms are shared rules on how someone can act based on their culture.
When you think of norms,
think of normal.

is for Online

Getting online is the #1 way people use the media.
People do everything online these days.

is for Police

The police have control over who gets arrested.
The police are the people you call if you are in danger.
