A story of luck and how we might interpreter luck in our own eyes and a boy only wanting to prove to his parents of his own luck.

There was once a little boy named Paul.
He lived in a beautiful big house with a loving family. There was his mother, Father, and his two younger sisters.

Paul's favorite thing to do was to rock on his rocking horse. Paul loved his horse since they were his favorite animal. With the help of Basset the family gardener Paul learnt all about horse racing and pretended he was racing on his horse.
.

Paul loved his family but it seemed like something was wrong. One night Paul hear his parents talking about money and how his father was so unlucky. Which made him wonder what luck was.

.

One night Paul wanted to ask his mother about what luck was. "Mother what is luck and why is father unlucky?" Asked Paul. "Well Paul luck is what causes you to have money and your father is having some troubles with that right now." Paul's mother tried to explain to him. That is when Paul wondered if he himself was lucky.
I am Lucky mother
After talking to Paul's
Mother he decided to go outside and
see what Basset was up to, as he might talk horses with him. But when he found him he was with Paul's uncle Oscar.

Paul heard Basset and
uncle Oscar talking about the derby.
Paul did not understand, what was the derby?
Uncle Oscar could see the confusion on Paul's face so he explained what the Derby was.
The Derby is horse racing

After uncle Oscar explained what the derby was he invited Paul to come with him to see it for himself. Paul loved the derby so much it was all he could have ever imaged. Paul even told his uncle who he thought was going to win and he was right.
I was right,
Daffodil won!
Once Paul and his uncle got back to the
house Basset explained to Oscar that the
boy and him had been talking horses
forever. The boy was always so interested in them and pretended to be the winner on his own rocking horse.

After explaining to Oscar, Paul showed his uncle how he would ride his horse to get the winner. This gave his uncle an idea. Since Paul could tell the winning horse they could bet on the horse to help his parents with the problem of money and luck they were having

After that day Paul would ride his rocking horse more and more as he wanted to help his family and prove that he could be the lucky one. If he were to win money by betting he could maybe even help his fathers luck.
