This children's book is about a girl named Naomi Higashi who tells her story of when she moved from Kyoto Japan to Washington DC. In this story, Naomi misses the cherry blossom trees and going flower viewing (also known as Hanami) in Japan but she soon discovers that Washington DC has cherry blossoms trees too and hold festivals to celebrate them.
