In a city of San Jose in California there lived a young girl named Elizabeth . She went to a middle school where there were lots of bullies and she was one of the people who was picked on . Elizabeth was always picked on for being different than most girls. She didn't really dress like most of the girls at her school and she wouldn't even like to wear makeup . She would kinda dress like a guys and mostly hung out with them too. A lot of the girls would make fun of her for not having any girlfriends and started to make up rumors about her. one of the girls started to say she was a lesbian and it got all around school. Elizabeth had never even dated because she was barely 12 and she wasn't allowed to go on dates. Many people started to believe this and she was constantly teased every day.. Elizabeth didn't understand why this was a bad thing. She knew she wasn't gay but even if she were she didn't see a problem with it. She wanted to know why it was such a bad thing

One day after school Elizabeth was walking home when a girl pushed her on the ground and started calling her names . She asked they girl who was picking on her why it was it was such a bad thing if she like girls. The girl responded and explained to her how it's not right for two people of the same gender to be together. Elizabeth asked why anyone would really care and that as long as people are happy it should be okay. The girl spoke again saying that in church they were always thought it was was unnatural. To Elizabeth this was very strange because her and her family didn't attend church. Her family raised her to be kind to everyone and to accept people for who they are as long as they are good people. Eventually the rumors about Elizabeth faded and people started to forget about them but she never really did. It's always something that stuck with her because she truly believed that people shouldn't be picked on based who they like and they should be judged on what type of person they are .

Freak !
Eventually Elizabeth went to high school and she wanted to make new friends so she decided to go to the club fair to see what she should join. The one that interested her was the anti bullying club because they wanted people and the school be feel safe and welcomed. It something that she valued and wanted to be a part of. One day Elizabeth saw a girl named julie being picked on for the same reason she was in middle school. Julie had come out to her class last year about her being gay. She didn't have very many friends so one day Elizabeth decided to introduce herself . The two girls quickly hit it off and they found out they had very much in common. They both loved the same movies, tv shows, and music. Over time they became close and Elizabeth became julie's rock. They would both tell each other everything and anytime someone tried to mess with julie ,Elizabeth was there to defend her friend.Eventually Elizabeth got Julie to join the anti bullying club with her because it's something they could do together. They wanted to bring awareness to their school about the lgbtq community so they decided to have an assembly

Im Julie
Hi my name is Elizabeth

They wanted people to stop hurting other people just because they are different. They even had a little skit and they just wanted to send out a positive message. They wanted everyone to get along and to stop hating on one another. She wanted to to be a safe school where people felt free to be who they wanted to be . People shouldn't be afraid to be who they really are and stop pretending to be someone they are not. After the assembly some people walked up to Elizabeth and said that they really loved the message she put out. Elizabeth didn't know them .but she was glad that they like it and she felt like she was getting her point across. After many people started to feel safe in their school and they started to come out. One girl thanked Elizabeth because she was the reason she felt safe to come out at school. Elizabeth didn't realize how much that assembly actually mattered and she wanted to do more to help people in general. She realized how important it was to .speak out against bullying show she wanted to get others involved in the club. She thought that if she could get more people to join , the more people would spread that same message.
