To all the teachers that told me to think outside the box.

Stories take time,
It all starts in my mind.
Look over the prompt during class time,
My brain starts churning such a grind,
Brainstorming,
Organizing.
DAY 1

Setting up the scheme of things,
Writing down a chart of thoughts.
I set down my pencil waiting for my brain to ding,
Forgetting to start the writing of my plots
And end up leaving my spot.

After my initial work,
I live my life and procrastinate,
Forgetting the assignment with a smirk.
Days pass and closer comes the due date.
Reforming
Thoughts fertilizing
Towards the end of the beginning period,
I come back to form a draft.
First attempt I have concluded,
Reading out loud to hear words paragraphed,
I look over of my second draft.
Day 2-5

Coming back with a clear head,
Rereading the assignment for simple mistakes.
Restructuring the piece, lying in bed.
The flow must be met at the end of many takes,
Formatting,
Grammar ruling.

Midnight hits and I go to sleep.
Thinking thoughts of if I met the prompt,
My mind tanks my confidence weeps.
I turn to grammarly for mistakes to be stomped.
My piece feels over-prompt.
Day 6-7

... what paper?
Day 8-10
Is this paper still a thing?
I set it aside and there goes by days,
Allowing for the possibility that my brains rings.
As time goes by it increases the stress,
Thoughts clearing,
Over thinking.
Taking it on again with new information.
Rereading for a main point throughout.
Looks like it’s almost done,
Restructuring the pieces layout.
My paper might end up with some clout.

,The paper isn’t going anywhere.
A whole lot of nothing,
Spare time and time not aware.
Brain is buffering,
Zero, zip, zilch,
Nada, nichts, niets, nothing.
Day 11-13

Process Paper Due
The dreaded time to go to class.
Sorry professor for what you’re reading.
Maybe next time I’ll pass,
Maybe I’ll get what you’re forging.
Here we go,
Oops it blows.
Rereading, rereading
Grammar check and doubt,
Not enough substance see me baffling.
It’s time to hideout,
Thinking,
Cooping.
