The boy stared at the seed,Unsure of what to do,
When glancing upward,
He was given a clue.
3

You see, he was looking,Up toward the peak,
Of the towering mass
Of Mt. Schmickitty Shmank Shmeek.
4

And at the very topOf this natural giant
Stories tell of a place
Serene and quiet
5

A place where the Humming Fish hum,And everything is at ease,
A place where anyone can come,
And live as they please.
6

So he left the place Where the grickle grass grows
With a nonchalant farewell
And excitement aglow.
7

The boy passed through The town of Drear-Ay
Where the sun didn't shine
A single ray.
8

He went by the river,A shade of murky blue,
Putrid and clogged
From garbage all askew.
9

Soon enough he foundHimself at the base
Of the great elevation
That seemed to rise into space.

10

He began the gruesome trekUp the mountainside,
Through multiple valleys
Long and wide,
11

Through frigid snow, And the blistering sun,
And for a moment,
He thought he was done.
12

But conquering the last hill,He looked and could see,
That the path ahead
Continued on peacefully.

13

The joy-oh what joyRegistered on his face!
As he was thrilled to be so close
To a place with such grace!
14

He stepped through the last bushes,Prepared to celebrate,
But instead he found
The terrain dry and desolate.
15

It was the same here As any other place!
This caused disappointment
To flood his face.
16

But he knew he must try,For he was here already,
So he took out the seed,
Holding it nice and steady,
17

And dropped it into the earthWith a little plop,
And began to tend
To his precious crop.

18

He watered it appropriatelyEvery single day,
And when the wind swirled,
He never let it sway.

19

Days went by,And turned into a week,
But the boy still lingered
Atop the mountain peak.
20

But with no sign of life,Not even a sprout,
The boy, tragically,
Was beginning to doubt
21

That the seed would ever Blossom into a tree,
And that his life
Would continue on gloomily.
22

So he sat by the seed, And began to cry,
And in that moment,
A tear fell from his eye
