Australia is located on its own continent between the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean.
It is the sixth largest country in the world and it is the smallest continent .
The capital city is CANBERRA.
The population of Australia is around 24 million. The official language is English.
Victoria is a state in Australia. Melbourne is the capital of the Australian state of Victoria, and the second largest city of Australia.
The first people in Australia were the Aborigines. Most of the people are descendants od British settlers.
James Cook discovered Australia in April 1770.
Australia is a rich country. Its farms produce meat, fruit, vegetables, wool, cereals and wine.
There ara a lot of mines, too. They produce gold,silver, iron, diamonds and copper.




Australia is a relaxed and contended land – and Sydney the cosmopolitan heart with a great way of life. So much to do and so much to see, visit the Opera house, take a Harbour cruise, play some golf, get a suntan, swim in the ocean, feed a dolphin, ride a surfboard. Sydney one of the World´s greatest cities with a population approaching four million people.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is the widest long-span bridge and tallest steel arch bridge in the world, and the 5th longest spanning-arch bridge according to Guinness World Records.

Sports
Rugby league is the most popular sport in Sydney. Cricket is the most popular summer sport in Sydney and the city will host games in the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
It is the 12th most expensive city and the largest city of Australia.
Bondi beach is the most famous of Sydney´s beaches but, in fact, there are over 30 more beaches all within 20 km of the city centre. These beaches are considered some of the finest surf beaches in the world, to attract the surfers.

Australian kangaroos are the most famous Australian animals, and they belong to the most recognisable icons in the world.
The kangaroo can grow to a height of 2 metres and hops at 40 k.m.h
They need very little water to live and have the remarkable ability to go several months without drinking anything. When kangaroos do finally decide they want something to drink, they like to dig deep holes in the ground to collect rainwater.
