Act I

Once upon a time a Duke named Theseus and a maiden named Hippolyta of Athens were having a chat about their wedding.

The Duke and his maiden have a friend named Egues . He has a daughter named Hermia who is not obeying him. The Duke and Egues have given her 3 choices. She must marry a man named Demterius, become a nun, or die. She does not like any of these choices and wants to be with her love, Lysander.

Hermia is in a tough situation. Her decision is to go against her father and run away into the forest to get married to Lysander. She does this because the harsh Athenian rule cannot reach them there.

They run away into the Forrest on their way to his aunt's house. Bottom, Quince, Starveling, Flute, Snout, Snug are also in the Forrest practicing their play "The Most Lamentable Comedy and Most Cruel Death of Pyramus and Thisbe.

Act II

Oberon has a servant named Puck, a mischievous elf who also entertains Oberon. He sends Puck out to complete his errands.

Oberon the Fairy King is fighting with his wife Titania because of jealousy and and because she will not give him her little Indian boy. Out of anger, he plans to put a spell on her by using the juice of a special flower to make her fall in love with the first thing she sees. While in the Forrest, Oberon is observing Helena, who is Hermia's friend, and Demetrius. Helena is following Demetrius because she loves him and Demetrius is getting annoyed.

Give me the baby and Ill leave you alone.

Oberon has sent Puck to put the special flower juice on Demetrius's eyes so he will love Helena. Puck messes up and puts juice on Lysander's eyes. Lysander now loves Helena and Hermia is left out with no lover.

Act III

Titania wakes up from the juices and see's a man with a donkey head that Puck had messed with. His name is Bottom and she is instantly in love with him. Titania will do anything for Bottom.

Puck has messed up because he made Lysander love Helena. Oberon is not too happy and wants to fix it.

Now both guys, Lysander and Demetrius, love Helena. Hermia is not happy about it. This causes a big fight. The girls leave and Oberon and puck come.

Oberon tells Puck that he messed up and he needs to fix everything. He tells Puck to make all of the lovers sleep by each other and put the reversal juice in Lysanders's eyes.
