This semester we learn about the following sports, football, tennis, basketball, and soccer. We researched their history, such as the inventor, when it was invented, and how it was thought of. I learned a lot from this experience. It taught me more about my favorite sport, basketball. In this story book i will be give you a brief explanation of all the sports we reviewed.
Downs - Downs are the mostly the main important part of the NFL. The offensive side has to move the ball forward of at least 10 yards. They get four chances to gain at least 10 yards. Every time the ball advances 10 yards within the four chances, another first down is earned and four chances to gain further than 10 yards.
Scoring - A touchdown is worth six points and is scored when a team crosses the opposing team’s goal line with the ball or catches or collects the ball in the end zone off a turnover. A team attempts a two-point conversion instead of kicking a one-point conversion after scoring a touchdown. In a two-point conversion attempt, the team that scored must run a play from close to the opponent's goal line.
Flags - A yellow cloth used in several field sports including American football and lacrosse. Referee officials to identify and mark the location of penalties or infractions that occur during a play

Backhand:a back hand swing is you can either use a one-handed or two-handed backhand. A one-handed backhand will provide you with longer reach and is better-suited to handling shots coming into the body than the two-handed backhand. Forehand:The forehand is usually a player’s strongest shot because it uses the dominant hand. The key to a great forehand is footwork, racquet preparation, and balance. Most players use a semi-western grip to hit a forehand.
Overhand Serve:The overhead is basically a tennis serve that requires footwork and does not involve a ball toss
Different kind of swings
To win a set, you must win at least six games. The games are scored starting at "love" (or zero) and go up to 40, but that's actually just four points. From love, the first point is 15, then 30, then 40, then game point, which wins the game
