WIND

we were sent to the desert to see what the wind was damaging. One problem was abrasion, we saw that the bigger rocks were getting wore down. we all agreed that this wasn't a big problem and we decided that we shouldn't waste that much money on it. We also saw a process called saltation its when large particles bounce and skip along the ground.we also saw deflation. When Wind removes the top layers of fine sediment of soil and leaves behind larger rock pieces.Abrasion is when rocks or sand wears down larger pieces of rock. loess - thick deposits of windblown, fine-grained sediment deposited by the wind . It feel like talcum powder and can be found far away from its source.Sand dune- a mound of wind- deposited sand.

WATER

When I got to the shoreline I saw a lot of erosion had happened . Shoreline erosion happens when waves removes sand from shorelines . When I arrived I noticed 5 things were wrong there . The first thing I noticed were sea caves which are formed when waves cut holes into weak rock at the bottom of sea cliffs . The second thing I saw were sea arches which forms when waves cut through part of a rock body .The third thing I saw were sea stacks which are columns of rock that are separate from the rest of the shore they are made of hard rock that erodes more slowly then the rest of the shore . The fourth thing I saw were headlands which are finger shaped bodies of rocks that stick out into the sea . The last thing I saw were wave cut terraces which are formed when sea cliffs are worn back from the shore
