Once upon a time, an Enchantress turned a handsome prince into a terrible beast when she discovered his selfishness.

She left behind an enchanted rose. If the prince did not learn how to take care of the rose and made sure it can go through the process of photosynthesis before the last rose petal fell, he would remain a beast forever.

The Beast decided to go to a nearby village hoping to find someone who knew about photosynthesis. Luckily for the Beast, Belle lived there with her father.
Belle loved books and she would for sure know something about photosynthesis.

Belle took the enchanted rose, set it outside and started to water it as she exhaled on the rose. The Beast started to get mad because he thought Belle was joking around.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING ???!!!!
Belle explained to the Beast that the rose needed water, sunlight, and carbon dioxide in order for photosynthesis to happen.

But why???????
The Beast was still confused so Belle explained more. Inside the rose there was a castle called the Chloroplast where photosynthesis takes place. Inside that castle there are cooks called Thylakoid, they need the ingredients sunlight and water to make a special cake called oxygen, this process is know as the Light Dependent Reaction. There are also workers that are found everywhere in the castle called stroma. They use carbon dioxide to make gluclose this process is the Light independent reaction. The Beast got curious and started to wonder why does the rose have green leafs and not pink like the rose itself ? Belle explained that in the castle there is an artist called Chlorophyll, he absorbs all the colors but green because it's his favorite color and he uses for the leaves.
The Beast finally understood photosynthesis so the Enchantress returned to make the Beast a prince again.
The Prince was happy and decided to throw a party.

They went outside of Prince's castle, The Mitochondria, and decided to make some carbon dioxide lemonade by following the glycolysis recipe so they first picked a glucose lemon. They split the lemon into 2 and now they had 2 pyruvate lemons. They then went inside of the castle's kitchen also known as the matrix and turned the 2 pyruate lemons into carbon dioxide lemonade by using the kreb's cycle.
