For my sunny, funny and incredibly bright Vivi.
I love you.
You can and you will.
-mommy

There once was a girl named Vivi.....
Vivi was a very bright, confident and happy little girl.
The kind of girl that was so naturally good at everything that you would never imagine that she felt like she couldn't do something.

She had many friends...
On the outside, for most of her day...life was perfect.
two dogs and a bird,

she was a great dancer,
really good at sports,
and she even had a big sister that she loved to play with and her sister loved her.

She was always sunny and funny.
She loved unicorns and rainbows and everything was lovely in her life. She spent most of her days playing and dreaming and imagining ....

There was nothing to worry about in Vivi's world.

She dreamed.....
that she was a princess in a castle
That she was an astronaut in space...

A paleontologist discovering new fossils..

I can do anything!!

You see, in Vivi's imagination she believed she could be anyone she wanted to be.
But there was one part of her day, that troubled her.
In this part of her day, she was not as happy and she was not as sure that she could do anything she wanted.
This sad time was reading time at school and reading time at home. Her bright and sunny world became a gloomy and rainy one.

No one noticed that sunny, funny Vivi had moments that she was well, not sunny and not funny. But she felt it.
She spoke to her favorite stuffed animals about it.... cotton candy the unicorn and her AG doll were her greatest listeners.

Then, one night her mommy overheard
her speaking to her stuffies at night.
She heard little Vivi cry and tell them that she was not perfect and that she wanted to read like her classmates.
She wondered why nobody else in her class had problems reading as she did.
