Introduction
Space is somewhat of a mystery to scientist, as it is seemingly endless and full of unknown secrets. Even with all the knowledge that has been discovered and is know, it still seems that the entirety of space will remain a mystery to us.

Planets
Not only is our solar system full of planets, but other solar systems all throughout the galaxy also have planets of their own. There are two types of planets that can exist; rocky planets and gas planets. An example of a rocky planet would be Earth, and an example of a gas planet would be Jupiter

Rocky Planets
In our solar system we have four rocky planets and four gas planets. The four rocky planets are; Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars.
Rocky planets usually have a rocky outer core and a molten middle. Other than earth, all the other rocky planets have dusty surfaces and
are thought to be devoid of
water.

Gas Planets
The other four planets in our solar system are gas planets. This means they are made up of various gases left over from when the universe was formed. These gases are what give the planets their color and make it impossible for us to ever colonize them.

When someone thinks of space what will often pop into their head first is stars. Not only are they giant balls of gases floating in space, they are also often used as symbols and shapes.

Star

What Are Stars Made Of
It comes as no surprise that stars aren't actually the shape of the star symbol, they are instead just giant sphere of gas. They are also not yellow, instead a dark orangish color. They are made of hydrogen and helium, and when they die all their left over matter eventually makes new stars.

The Sun
The Sun is not a planet, it is a star that is close enough to Earth to provide us with the warmth we need to survive. It also depends on what way Earth is facing the sun to determine our nights and days. It may seem bigger than all the other stars, but it is actually more smaller than most.

A Stars Death
Like everything else in this world, stars eventually die. Most of the stars you see in the night sky are already dead and since they are so far from earth the light hasn't disappeared yet. When a star does die is becomes a black hole, which is an invisible force that pulls anything that comes near it into it.
