Dedicated to my wife Marlene, and
to all those with the hope of becoming parents.

Hi, my name is Andy.
And I’m Mandy. We’re twins.
Andy: Yeah!

Andy: Our Papa has a big-big job on the farm. He has to wake everyone up in the mornings.
Guy Rooster: Cock-A-Doodle-Doo! Cock-A-Doodle-Doo!

Mandy: You see, it all started one early summer morning when Friendly Farmer was feeding his chickens and he noticed Mama sitting off to the side all by herself watching the other hens with their baby chicks. They all looked happy except for Mama.
Friendly Farmer: Good morning Lady Hen. It seems you look a little sad. What’s bothering you?

Lady Hen: I was watching the other hens with their baby chicks. They all look so happy. Being a Mama Hen is something I have wanted to be for a long time. It makes me sad to know I cannot have any baby chicks of my own. You know Guy Rooster and I have been trying to have baby chicks for some time?
Friendly Farmer: I have an idea. I can go ask the neighbor farmer if he knows of any hens that might be able to donate some eggs.

Andy: Mama got so excited she forgot to thank Friendly Farmer and ran home.
Lady Hen shouted: Guy! Guy! I have some good news!
Guy Rooster: What is it Dear?
Lady Hen: Well, I spoke with Friendly Farmer and he said he will ask if there is a hen that is willing to donate some eggs.

Friendly Farmer tells the
donor hen: Thank you
very much for these eggs.
I know they will love these
chicks very much.
Andy: This is my favorite part of the story.

Friendly Farmer carefully brought the donated eggs to Mama and Papa's area where they lived.
Lady Hen: We have been expecting you.
Did you get something for us?
Friendly Farmer: Well, here they are.

Lady Hen: Awe. Please place them here on my nest and I will keep them warm until it’s time.
Mandy: This is the part I like. Mama and Papa day dreamed about us.
They expressed their love for us. They recalled Friendly Farmer telling them both: Now remember Lady Hen and Guy Rooster these eggs will hatch and the two little babies will be your baby chicks to love, raise and care for, and nobody will ever take them away.
