Madagascar Zoo in New York City is a very famous zoo. People come from all over to see all of the animals and taste the delicious popcorn!

In this zoo lives a cute polar bear named Sammy. He is large and all white, like snow. Sammy is kind to all and tries to stay cheery, although, he is lonely. His enclosure is away from all of the other animals and so he only had the penguins to keep him company.

"Sammy, I hate to see you so gloomy everyday.." said Larry the Penguin. Sammy particularly Liked Larry the best. "I can't help it!" Sammy said. "I am so curious to see what's outside our enclosure." Sammy never called it a home because it didn't feel like one. "I want to see other animals and make friends," Sammy said.

Larry the penguin did not view the same as Sammy. He did not care that their enclosure was not around the other animals. Sammy and all of the other penguins were the only friends he needed. Larry was concerned with eating all the fish he could and taking lots of naps.

On the other side of the zoo from Sammy and Larry's enclosure lives a kangaroo named April and her daughter Pip. April is very motherly and kind. She helps any animal that has a problem no matter how big or small. She is also very protective of Pip. Pip is very small and she loves to spend her time in April's pouch.

Although Pip is small she definitely takes after her mother, helping the nearby animal children with problems. She is also just as kind. Whenever people came by their enclosure, Pip made sure to act really cute and hop around.

All of the animals in the zoo love when people come by to see them. They do tricks and the people clap for them. The problem with Sammy and Larry's enclosure was that it didn't get a lot of visitors because of how isolated and far it was from the rest.

When the zoo keeper Tyler comes to feed Sammy and Larry he feels bad. He sees how lonely and sad Sammy tends to be. He always leaves a little extra food for Sammy hoping it would cheer him up but it never worked.

Tyler is a very young man who has worked at the zoo for a long time resulting in him being a great zoo keeper. He was in charge of feeding all of the animals throughout the day. He loved all of the animals... except for one..

Tyler did not like Wallie. Wallie is a zebra that lives in the enclosure next to April and Pip. Wallie is very mean. Whenever Tyler comes to feed him he chases him out making Tyler drop the food he is carrying all over the ground. Wallie laughs at him.

The worst part about Wallie is that he is not nice to April or Pip. He makes fun of Pip making her cry and even throws mud at her. This makes April very angry. Wallie also scares people away when they come to visit him. He is one mean zebra!

One day after Tyler was chased out of Wallie's enclosure once again he had an idea. Tyler saw how lonely and sad Sammy was and how much Wallie tormented April and Pip. Wallie scares guests away and just doesn't seem home here at the zoo.

That was when Tyler finally had it! He decided to finally go talk to the Boss of the zoo. He told him everything about Wallie, and Sammy, and April. Tyler felt relieved after coming out of his boss' office. His boss told him come back later after he thought about it.
