Dedicated to my beautiful mom and my inspirational dad.
Much love.

My Mom's pregnancy with me was a roller coaster. Her first trimester was full of puking and nausea. Her second and third trimester was full of cravings anywhere from capers to a bowl of jalapenos. She called me a ruthless baby.

I was given my name from a TV show my parents used to watch-. Before deciding on my current name, my parents had thought about naming something else like Olivia, or Olive if I was a girl. They also considered Max or Cameron if I was a boy.

My mom was in labor for a full 12 hours. After not making any progress, the nurses decided she needed a C-section. My mom told me that it was one of the most excruciating things she's been through (kinda makes me never want to have kids). When I was born, I weighed 8 pounds and 1 ounce. I was 20.78 inches.

I was 6 years old when my first tooth came in. I had a loose tooth at school, and back then it was the "cool thing" to have your teacher pull out your loose teeth. Wanting to be mainstream, I had my teacher pull it out. When I came home that day with my front tooth in my hand, boasting about how my teacher pulled it out, my parents were mortified. Later that year I lost my other front tooth, and my parents called me Mater (the hillbilly car in the movie Cars) because of how I looked when my teeth started coming in.

A kids firsts are a big deal. Your first step, first word, first tooth lost-they're all huge accomplishments! I took my first step when I was 1 1/2 years old. I wasn't potty trained until I was about 2 1/2. And I lost my first tooth when I was 6.

My birth weight and length are somewhat close to the averages. The average weight for a newborn is around 7.7 lbs for a child of European heritage. I weighed about 6 ounces more than this. The average length for a newborn is about 20.25 inches, while I was 20.78 inches.

I had perfect eyesight until I was 15. Every time I would have an eye appointment, I would ask my parents if I could get glasses even though I didn't need them. Both my mom and my brother had glasses and I was incredibly jealous. To my "luck" my constant begging finally paid off. At 15 I had an eye appointment and was told that I would need glasses. I was devastated. I no longer wanted glasses, but now I was going half blind and sadly needed them due to my vision of 20/30.
