In 1876 the telephone was invented. Alexander Graham Bell was sitting in his home in Brantford, Canada one day and that is where the discovery took place.

The telephone was a way to communicate with people without being face with them or writing a letter. You could hear, and talk to people who lived thousands of miles away.

How was your day?

Hey

How the telephone works is when a person speaks into the mouthpiece, the sound waves from the person's voice enter the moth piece. A electric current transfers to the other person's telephone that they are talking to.
Causes
The reason Alexander Graham Bell created the telephone was because his mother was deaf and he wanted to find a way for her to communicate . One day he accidentally spilled acid on himself and could hear himself on the other side through the receiver. He found a way to talk through a mouthpiece and someone else on the other side of the receiver could hear them through the receiver

Effects - Short Term
The telephone started off that it could only stay in homes, were not transportable, and it was big and bulky.
People were able to speak to each other without having to be face to face or writing a letter that took weeks to get from one place to another.
Effects - Long Term
Telephones were transformed to be even better and you could talk to people all around the world. Cell phones now can be taken everywhere and are much more compact and you can do even more things than just make calls on them
This invention shows capitalism because the telephone allows for people to communicate with people from all over the world to share their ideas and to create better things for everyone. This also allows people to express their ideas on social media and by calling and texting to meet new people who they can share their ideas with.
The things that Alexander Graham Bell needed to make the telephone available for everyone were supplies, a place to work, a place to sell the telephone, and people to make the telephone so it would get out to people quickly and efficiently.
