Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 and died June 25, 2009. For most of Michael's life he lived in Gary, IN. CHILDHOOD

Michael's childhood was not an easy one. Day by day Michael and the rest of the members in the Jackson 5 would be abused by his father because all his father wanted for them was fame and fortune. Before the Jackson 5 became world famous they used to play in bars where they were exposed to acohol, nudity, and violence. Michael's dad would beat the five kids if they missed a step, note, or even if they just weren't performing well because they had had a bad day or something little like that. Michael was known to get physically ill when his dad came near or was around him.

Michael's dad also refused to comfort his children because he was the manager of the Jackson 5. So they weren't aloud to hug him or call him dad or daddy like most ordinary children but then again not much about Michael's childhood was ordinary or normal. became depressed and his father didn't even care. All his father would do is push and push and push Michael. His dad used to call him ugly and make rude comments about Michael. He never got the chance to be silly or hang around kids acting funny and silly when he was a grown adult.

Katherine Jackson (Mother) who is now 87 years old, Joe Jackson (Father) who is now 89, Janet Jackson (Sister) is now 51 years of age and has only one child, Jermaine Jackson (Brother) is 63 years of age and has nine children,

SCHOOLING

Michael Jackson was homeschooled for his elementary years but he did go to High School at Montclair College Prep however he didn't officially graduate high scool. His teachers described him as a superb kid with great manners and amazing curiosity in everything that he was taught. If you were to watch his interviews his teachers used to say that Michael was always in deep thought. They would say that he was a really nice gentleman and were sad to see him not offically graduate. He did not go to college.

FAME AND FORTUNE

Michael Jackson is famous for his dance move called the "Moonwalk" and his music. Some of his number one songs include: Billie Jean, Beat it, Thriller, Bad, Smooth Criminal, Man in the Mirror, Black or White. He is also famous for being in the band called the Jackson 5 when Micahel was just a little kid. He is also the first guy to win eight grammys in one night.
