Bill Gates has one of the greatest minds

born in Seattle, Washington on the 28th

Bill Gates created the MS-DOS system, which
allowed any computer to do what it does, whether
it's using a calculator or writing a story. Little did
he know that the software that he created would
be a key to future technology. But Bill Gates did
not do this all by himself. When Gates attended a
private school, he began his interest in computer
science. While learning about computers, he met a
classmate named Paul Allen. He was going to be
Bill's business partner when Microsoft is created.
Paul Allen was just as interested in computers as
Bill Gates was. They became close friends and
started creating software in their free time.

For Bill Gates and Paul Allen, creating software was
easy. They developed a name for themselves while
fixing computers in the school and creating
software to allow programs to run on different
operating systems. They developed such a name
that they were asked by a large company to start
writing programs for their computers. Bill Gates
was smarter than that. He thought of creating his
own software that they could sell to companies
that needed the extra software. This is where Bill
Gates created Micro-Soft, which is very well known
today as Microsoft. Paul Allen would guide Bill
Gates through creating their business and
succeeding in the near future

Bill Gates got a copyright for Microsoft so that other
companies had to buy the software instead of using it
for free. Bill Gate's father was a lawyer and helped Bill
with the business part of the company. Over time, Bill
Gates figured out how to force the computer companies
to buy his software. The way he did this was by creating
software that the computer companies needed for their
computers to run. In 1973, all computers had to be sold
with some kind of program already installed. This
benefited Microsoft greatly because Microsoft was
probably the most-used program in the United States.
The only competitor that Microsoft had was Apple. In
1980, 80 percent of all the computers in the world had
Microsoft installed on them.
