Intro
Welcome to the 1930s. The 1930s was the heart of jazz. you will learn about what is was like for a white US male, life is easier for a white U.S male. This story is not real but involves real events . This story is about history form my imagination this has nothing to do with real people at all. Mark is a 14 year old boy who plays the trumpet for a band called the depression during dusk. it is 1932 and the depression just hit at its hardest. Mark has to play in front of crows of people to make his money. Playing that good is not easy but in a matter of minuets of warming up he can play as good as Francis King could write. He mainly played in Flint because that's the only place he could.
I couldn't believe how well I had played. sixteen people even told me how bright I was. Yes, I made an impression on one of the biggest stages in the whole U.S.A. My dad still had a kids trumpet from when I was three, life was fun back then. When I was daydreaming in the office about my grandpa I herd my pack open. It was Jack, and he was snooping around the stage for any remains of the cash I had. Most people had none, but I was lucky enough to have some. I herd some yell "Is that the Depression During Dusk band?" Jack said yeah"who is talking?" That kid said to me," are you Mark?" I said" yes, how do you know my name?" That kid Screamed"HOW COME YOU DON'T KNOW ME I'M YOUR COUSIN!" Cousin I had needed help from one also he looked like my cousin's dad who lost his son. Jack told the kid that he could stay with me and play some music with me. He told me about how when his mom died he ran in hopes to find me.
When those words hit my ears I started to think about the times he came over, but that was then and he was three not ten. He told me about he played his drums. I asked him if he was ready to fly. he said yes but I did not know so I told him,"Are you ready to wake up at five in the morning, are you ready to have a gross breakfast, and are you ready to have people to yell at you because of your race and age?"Jack was snoring in his seat. I checked the time and it was already 12:45 PM.

I showed that kid something my dad wrote when he was in the band. That kid's jaw dropped an he said,"MY DAD SAYS THAT ALL THE TIME." I told him to go to bed and in less than one minuet he was sleeping.
Whenever the time gets rough then just think about how much I love you
No pasta in the dust bowl because you not get wheat. well that was odd thank the lord 2 people are signing up to play in the band well if they chose to. DEPRESSION DURING DUSK PLAYING ON MARCH 15 1932 ALL PEOPLE PAY $2.00 TO GET IN. Well this is going to be great playing on the worlds largest stage the Big Mac Circle AKA the BMC. I will be shocked if we do good, three people preforming for like 300,000 people this will be a good pay check if We do good. I had a deep sleep It was 2 days until the show will happen. The kid was beat up and looked like he had been alone for more than a year. Wow wonder how they will judge him.
