Harper is about to go on a very exiting road trip to a ranch in Saskatchewan CA . Her parents surprised her by going there with her grandma, she was already packed and ready to go. Her family had gotten into the car and driven off. Harper could not wait to get to the ranch and see everything! Her mom and dad were telling her how beautiful the ranch was. Chapter 1

to look out the car window and into the prairie she could see horses, cows, and much more. After a couple hours into the drive they had to stop at the gas station , while her dad got gas Harper and her mom went to get snacks and drinks. As Harper and her mom walked into the store Harper's eyes lit up as she saw a tiny stuffed puppy she told her mom that it was the cutest thing she'd ever seen so

she'd asked her mom to buy it for her, her mom said yes and they paid and went back to the car. Harper's dad had filled the car with gas and then told Harper "We're half way there!".

It had been about 4 hours and they had finally arrived Harper ran out of the car and staright into the ranch house. Her mom then said go ahead and look around.

First Harper went into the the kitchen and the dining room to the right by the huge windows where the sun was shining in. After the kitchen she went out into the living room there was three couches and a fireplace! Harper could see one bathroom and then the stairs. Harper walked up the stairs and down the hall there was three bedrooms the first one was

Looking Around

Chapter 2

the master and then the one across was Harper's room, Harper's room was beautiful it had light pink walls and vintage bed sheets with a canopy over it was all just vintage and beautiful. Beside Harper's room was her parents room and then the bathroom. Upstairs there was a family room with board games

in a little bin. She started to walk down stairs and then her grandma came in! Harper was so exited to see her grandma, she hadn't seen her since she was 4 years old. Harper ran into her grandmas arms and hugged her so tight she couldn't breath! She then gave her grandma a tour. After that they went outside.

After Harper's grandma arrived, Harper decided to go out into the field behind the ranch and met some horses 3 of them were drinking water and one other one was just walking around. Harper decided to go to the one that was walking , the horse quickly adapted to Harper just like Harper did.

Jubilee

Chapter 3

Harper started petting the horse and decided to name him Jubilee because that was the name of the horse in her favorite book "Number the Stars". Harper's grandma came out and told Harper she could ride Jubilee but with her grandma guiding them. After a while of practicing riding, Harper's grandma let her ride on her own but she would still watch them. As Harper and Jubilee were riding

Jubilee saw a deer and freaked out and Harper fell off Jubilee. By the time her grandma got there Harper was passed out and wasn't moving. Her grandma picked Harper up and ran her back to the ranch her mom and dad rushed to the car and they all were off to the hospital.

When they got to the hospital Harper got put straight into a emergency room because the doctor said she was in critical condition. A bunch of doctors came in and started running tests mom and dad were so scared. It had been a couple hours and Dr.Hanahgin came out and gave us news he said that Harper had gone blind from the fall

Chapter 4

mom and dad were so upset and so were grandma but Dr.Hanahgin told them that she'd be okay and that Harper can still hear and communicate with her surroundings. After all that they went in to see Harper. Mom and dad were telling her all of what was happening, and that she went blind from the fall. Harper was terrified and freaking out but mom calmed her down.

After everyone was calm the doctor came in and they talked about how long Harper would have to stay in the hospital, thankfully the doctor said that she could go home today but had to rest. Harper was exited to get back to regular activities. The family was ready to go home so they took off.
